Mother's Day Weekend

Jonas threw up for the first time yesterday. I hope it wasn't anything serious. He did have an appetite this morning. I feel like I have a sinus infection. Great start to the weekend.

I'm getting ready to go to the mall to have some alone time. Retail therapy. I hope that helps. I feel fat so I'm going to buy myself a cute shirt.

We are going out to Melting Pot tonight for Melinda's birthday. Yum. We were going to go to howl at the moon after but Kat may be bailing and Jonas got sick. I don't think I should have him around Carlee's kids if he isn't feeling well. It is nice of Melinda to be so understanding.

Yard Sale

Am I crazy? I'm going to participate in the community yard sale tomorrow. Even though Brett is out of town. This should be interesting. Taking care of a small child and selling our stuff. Thank goodness for the DVD player.

I feel like I have asthma. I've had a very difficult time catching my breath and I keep coughing. I feel worse at night so that is why I didn't go to the doctor the past few days. It's hard to go complain about something when you don't feel that bad. I hope it is better tonight.

Florida

We are going to the pediatrician today for his 18 month check up. I hope they tell me he just has a cold. I am glad that it also means no shots today.

Brett got the order to get his house ready to sell so it looks like Florida might be definite. Polk county has a hiring freeze and the other counties don't have their available positions up yet. Maybe I should go down there and start a private music lesson business instead of teaching. I don't know how that will work out with Brett's new job pay plan.

I have a headache thinking of everything that needs to get done to try to sell this house. I guess I should start a to do list and every weekend we can aim for one or two items.

The garden

7 more weeks

School will be out soon. I just have to keep telling myself that. My concert is over and I have decided to show the video to the classes next week so that I don't have to write several lesson plans. EOGs are in two weeks then we have field day. I feel like I'm in the home stretch.

I planted a garden and most everything is growing. I can't wait to partake in all the fresh veggies. The only things that didn't make it are the strawberries and the asparagus but I hear that they don't do much the first year.

Brett might be moving to Florida. If everything works out well there, I'll be joining him. Sad that I'll be giving up my new garden and fruit trees but I guess I can always start a new garden.

Jonas goes to the Dr. on Monday and I go on Tuesday. Maybe I'll get to make the gender appointment soon.

Blah

I don't feel well. I guess there is more of this to come.

I can't decide if I want to keep reading my series or if I want to move on to another. I saw that Twilight is now a graphic novel. I almost bought it. I don't know why I didn't. At our staff meeting, our principal said that reading will be obsolete in the year 2050. I don't know where she is getting her facts from since I will still be alive and reading. But it is a scary thought. I'm raising Jonas for jobs that don't even exist. I hope there will still be musicians. Or will they be obsolete as well?

I'm pregnant!!!

I guess I can blog about it because my four followers already know. I'm 6.5 weeks along and already starting to not fit into my pants. How sad. I feel fine other than that. My ultrasound is on the 30th...I can't wait.

Jonas is doing well. He says high five, thank you, and a lot of little everyday words like this and that. What a cutie!

I'm so happy that I didn't have to go to school today.

I like getting to hang out with Jonas for an extended weekend. I had Monday off three weeks in a row. I wish I could work a 3 or 4 day work week.

Brett got a stationary bike today. We put it in front of the tv. Lets just see how long this lasts. I'm looking forward to my day off tomorrow. I think we'll go to the library and Aunt Courtney's. Jonas wants to say hi:

I don't understand why someone else would set the date for the black history month concert without asking me first. I feel like coming up for some excuse for not being there just to protest. Anyone have any ideas or want to make plans for a Tuesday night? I didn't even want to do it at night. I much prefer concerts during the day when the entire school is involved.

Jonas keeps calling me dad. I can't even get him to say Mama anymore. He is saying hi, bye, nite-nite, cheerios, Kippy, yeah, and yep. I forgive him because I've heard him say mom before.

I'm thinking of going to a concert tonight. One of my college friends is in town (Gabe) and I should go say hi. Then I have another concert tomorrow for the scare troupe. I hope I get enough sleep.

So far, so good with the resolution. I've been frantically reading the past few weeks. The Anita Blake series (16 books) is occupying all of my free time. I even put the jewelry making on hold so that I could get through the series. I'm on book 6. Love Kindle for iPhone!!!

New Year!

I think my resolution will be to run or walk a mile each day (or two every other day). Lets see how long that will last.
